Every week I share my family dinner menu on the website. I usually complete a Meal Plan Template on the weekend to prepare for the week ahead. Once the meal plan is done I can then write up a grocery shopping list based on what I am cooking. You can see that I try to vary the types of meals (i.e. beef, chicken, pasta, egg) to ensure a varied diet for the family. This soup (from my sister Tor) has a terrific mix of mild spices that work beautifully with the lamb and vegetables. The slow cooking of the lamb means that the meat is oh so tender. It’s a terrific winter warming soup that is bulky enough to serve as a meal for the family. I love to serve it in my household as a weekend lunch. Continue reading
This is a deliciously filling, thick soup, with heaps of hearty vegetables and lovely ciabatta bread to mop up the juices. It’s fabulously healthy, jam packed with goodness and is so darn tasty. It’s not one of my fast soups such as my Classic Tomato Soup but the extra time it takes to cook is so worth it. Continue reading
My Meal Planning Template is my savior. It enables me to write a plan on what yummy dinners to cook for the family each week which takes away the stress of trying to think of what to cook at the last minute. Having said that, my meal plan always ends up with scribbles and arrows and notes all over it as I make changes and swap things around along the way. Continue reading
I love bacon and I love pasta so this soup was always going to be a favorite of mine. I will happily serve this to my family for a lunch or dinner as the combination of beans, spaghetti and vegetables means that this soup is wholesome enough to serve as a complete meal.
